Miss Clark reports

On November 14th, the Year 7 girls hockey team travelled to Westfield School in Yeovil to play in the area finals. The girls have only had one fixture this season, so it was a test of their team work! They were drawn into a pool against King Arthur’s, Westfield and Huish. We started strong beating King Arthur’s 1-0. The second game was Huish. The girls continued to work hard gaining another victory of 2-0! Our final game to finish top in our pool and a chance to be in the final… and we did it! The girls beat Westfield 3-0.

The Year 7 girls were into the finals against a strong Holyrood side. It was an extremely evenly matched game where both teams wanted the win, it finished a fair 1-1. The Sexey’s Year 7 girls hockey team are through to the county finals at Millfield later on in the term. They all showed fantastic team work throughout the tournament and should be extremely proud, well done!
