In memory of Mr Todd

We are devastated to announce that Mr Philip Todd, a core member of our school community, very sadly passed away after a short illness on Saturday 29th May.
Mr Todd joined Sexey’s in September 1987 as a Science teacher with Biology specialism, becoming Head of Biology in 1994. He joined the boarding team in Walwin in 1987 and worked in all of our boarding houses at various points. He will be most remembered for his time in Coombe, where he worked as Assistant Houseparent, Houseparent and Senior Houseparent over the years. He joined the Senior Leadership Team in 2003 as Director of Boarding.
Mr Todd has been an absolutely integral member of our school community for all the years he has been with us. He has always been extremely student focused, known for promoting a sense of calm in the boarding houses. He led canoeing, kayaking, tennis, Duke of Edinburgh and the annual school ski trip for many years, and is well remembered for his love of bird watching on the Somerset levels and in the Lake District.
He will be tremendously missed by us all.
We are collating commemorations from all those connected to the school who would like to be remembered by him. Please feel free to email Sarah Simms: ssimms@sexeys.somerset.sch.uk with any words that you would like to have included. Thank you.
